My name is Leanne Yau, and I am a professional audiobook narrator, producer, and voice actor.
I am based in the UK and have been recording stories I enjoy since 2012. In 2016, I started volunteering for LibriVox and received an offer to join The Online Stage not long after; I am now a project manager at The Online Stage and its parent company, Voices of Today. I also narrate with The Audiobook Creation Exchange, Findaway Voices, and Thorntree Press. At the University of Oxford, I participated in numerous theatre productions and produced a series of radio plays. I was also the Head Editor of a theatre review blog, Oxford Opening Night.

Accents: my natural accent is British RP. I can also do General American. I am able to learn other accents on demand.
Languages: I speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and German fluently – the reason for this is that I grew up in Hong Kong, was educated in the UK, and learnt German for 7 years. Most of my audiobooks are in English, but I have also narrated some historical fiction set in China and German poetry.
Age range: my natural voice is that of a young adult, but I have performed in a range of voice types, ranging from that of a small child to a middle-aged widow!
Other skills: I sing in some of my works, and try to incorporate musical performance wherever appropriate. I am a classically trained Grade 8 singer and pianist, and also play the guitar, harmonica, and xiao flute.
